Shirin Ebadi, Nobel Peace Prize Laureate

Shirin Ebadi is the first female Peace Prize Laureate from the Islamic World (2003). Iran’s first female judge, an avid defender of women’s rights in Iran, and an internationally recognised advocate of human rights, she was named one of the 100 most powerful women in the world by Forbes Magazine (2004).

FILM PREMIERE: TRUE WARRIORS

Kabul, December 2014. The film depicts an attack by a 16-year-old Taliban suicide bomber on an Afghan theatre, where a première performance about suicide bombings is being staged. True Warriors gives voice to the actors, poets and musicians who were on stage that day - a true story about freedom, peace and war, fear, and human determination. 

Followed by Q&A with Directors Ronja von Wurmb-Seibel & Niklas Schenck.
